Referee Qualifications and Training

Upper Dublin Soccer club strives to provide the most qualified officials available.

Referees for the 2-3 league must be in at least 9th grade and maintain a grade 9 or higher license or attend a club training session. Referees for the 4-5 and 6-8 Leagues must be in at least 9th grade and have a USSF Grade 9 or higher license. Referees for the 9-12 League must have graduated high school and have a USSF Grade 8 or higher license.

There will be a training class prior to each fall season which must be attended by all high school age referees. The training will review specific club rules and policies in addition to the laws of the game.

From time to time The Club will host a USSF license course as needed and based on the availability of certified instructors from USSF. Players, TOPs buddy or assistant recreational Club soccer coaches may attend. Fees are set by the USSF. An exam must be passed to have your license issued.
